JACOB KNOX - $10,000 KIRTLAND HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP:

Jacob has worked hard to succeed during his years at Kirtland High School where the staff describe him as kind, respectful, and an example for others demonstrating focus and determination on preparing for his future. In addition to his effort in the classroom, he has also worked throughout high school to save money for his future education.

The award this year is especially exciting for us as it endorses something near and dear to our hearts, manufacturing! We know the important role manufacturing, and the trades in general, play in our society and we are happy to help Jacob pursue learning a manufacturing trade skill, Heavy Machining at Hocking College. When asked why Jacob chose Heavy Machining as a career goal, his answer, ‘It sounds interesting and I know I will be able to get a job’. We love his answer!
