CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2015 WINNERS!

BREAKTHROUGH SCHOOLS - $10,000 DONATION:

Breakthrough Schools is the highest-rated network of public charter schools in Cleveland, Ohio. They currently have 10 non-profit schools throughout Cleveland, and are opening our 11th school this year. Their five-year vision is to further Greater Cleveland’s transformation by providing distinctive school options for no fewer than 6,000 children in 19 schools. Their work, in partnership with CMSD and others, will help the city reach a tipping point towards providing a high-quality education for all. I am proud to help support them on behalf of the CHRMF and provide them with this $10,000 donation.

CAMMIE KAPPELE - $8000 KIRTLAND HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP:

The recipient of an $8,000 scholarship is Cammie Kappele. Teachers enjoy working with Cammie because she is so willing to learn and approaches all things with a positive attitude, welcoming nature and ever present smile. She knows how to have fun with her peers and at the same time knows when to be serious delivering above and beyond the work needed to finish projects.

 

She found her passion for Floral Design at Auburn Career Center through the Landscape Horticulture Program. She is planning on attending Ohio State ATI College of Food, Agricultural,and Environmental Sciences, or Cuyahoga Community College to pursue a degree in Floral Design where her creativity and enthusiasm will help her achieve her goals.

MITCH KIMINAS - $2500 LIBRA INDUSTRIES FAMILY SCHOLARSHIP:

The winner of the 2015 Libra Industries Family Scholarship is Mitch Kiminas. Mitch is currently a full-time Component Engineer at Libra Industries where he has worked for nearly 2 years. Mitch is attending Lakeland Community College where he is majoring in Electronic Engineering Technology with plans to graduate in the Spring of 2017. Congratulations to Mitch as he pursues his degree and career all at the same time.
