BREAKTHROUGH SCHOOLS - $10,000 DONATION:

Breakthrough Schools is the highest-rated network of public charter schools in Cleveland, Ohio. They currently have 10 non-profit schools throughout Cleveland, and are opening our 11th school this year. Their five-year vision is to further Greater Cleveland’s transformation by providing distinctive school options for no fewer than 6,000 children in 19 schools. Their work, in partnership with CMSD and others, will help the city reach a tipping point towards providing a high-quality education for all. I am proud to help support them on behalf of the CHRMF and provide them with this $10,000 donation.

LUCAS COX - $8000 KIRTLAND HIGH SCHOOL SCHOLARSHIP:

Lucas Cox is an exemplary individual who is respected by students and faculty alike; admired for his diligence, positive attitude and gentle spirit. Faculty and peers respect him and admire his tenacity. If something seems out of reach, he works as hard as necessary to achieve his goal putting forth tremendous effort to not only succeed, but to excel. As a junior, Lucas became a member of the Auburn Career Center's Internet Programming class. He has been extremely successful, becoming very knowledgeable with computers. He has chosen to continue this path in college. He plans to attend Lakeland Community College to pursue an Associate's Degree in Information Technology & Computer Science. Congratulations Lucas and we wish you continuing success in all that you do!!
